Privacy policy
AI for Firms helps accounting firms set up and use AI. This page explains what we collect through aiforfirms.ai, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We follow Canada's private sector privacy law (PIPEDA).
Who we are
AI for Firms is run by Mike Libbey. Email hello@aiforfirms.ai or use the contact form.
What we collect
- What you type into our forms. Your name, email, firm name, team size, revenue range, what you're interested in, and anything you write in a message.
- How you heard about us, if you tell us.
- Basic visit data. Pages viewed, rough location, device and browser type, and the site that sent you. We look at it in total to see what's working, not to track you.
We don't ask for client data. Please don't send any through our forms.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your message and follow up on what you asked about.
- To run workshop draws you enter.
- To improve the site and what we offer.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their marketing.
Emails from us
If you send us a message, we'll reply about it. We'll only send you newsletters or marketing emails if you've said yes. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, or you can just tell us to stop.
Who else handles it
We use a small number of providers to run this site, store form submissions and send email. Some of them store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where local law may allow authorities to access it. They can only use your information to provide their service to us.
The video on our pages plays through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, and our fonts load from Google Fonts. Those services can see your IP address when they load. We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
How long we keep it
We keep form submissions for up to 2 years after we last hear from you, then delete them, unless you become a client. Workshop draw entries are kept for up to 2 years.
Keeping it safe
Only the people who need your information can see it, and our providers use industry-standard security. No system is perfect. If a breach puts you at real risk of significant harm, we'll tell you, as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Send us a message through our contact form and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not happy with how we handled your request, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at https://www.priv.gc.ca.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
