Common questions

What does an AI implementation for an accounting firm include?

An AI implementation for an accounting firm includes Claude set up across the firm, custom skills for repeat work, and custom apps and dashboards where needed. Mike Libbey also trains your team to use the tools in their everyday accounting work.

Do we need to be on Karbon?

No, your accounting firm doesn't need to be on Karbon. We work with the tools you already use, and we've run on Karbon at YBL for 9 years so we know it well.

Is our client data safe?

We set up Claude and your firm's tools on your own accounts with your permissions. Nothing leaves your control.

How long does a setup take?

Depends on scope. For custom builds we start with a paid discovery and prototype that's credited to the build if you go ahead, so you see it working on your own work before you commit to the full thing.

What does it cost?

We price against what the work costs you today, not by the hour. Setups and training have fixed prices. Custom builds are quoted after discovery.

How do we know it's working?

Every month you get a one-page report showing what it handled, the time it saved, and what that time is worth. Plus a short video walkthrough of anything we've changed.

Who is behind this?

Mike Libbey is CEO of YBL, a 30+ person fully cloud-based accounting firm named a Top 50 Modern Accounting Firm. Mike is a Top 50 International ProAdvisor, YBL has received the Karbon AI Innovation Award, and Mike hosts the Claude 101 for Accountants workshops.

How is this different from buying ChatGPT or Claude seats?

Seats give your team a blank box. We set it up with your firm's context, build skills for the work you repeat every week, and train your people on their own files so it actually gets used.

Do you work with firms outside Canada?

We work across North America, starting in Canada. The Claude 101 for Accountants workshop comes to New York in January 2027. If your firm is anywhere in North America, get in touch.
